The VS Series features both a front mounted LCD control and an Advanced User Interface. The AUI can be accessed locally with a user provided laptop and remotely using the internet. Screens are easy to set up and read, and clearly display the parameters you need to see. No matter where you are, you’re only moments away from ensuring your VS Series transmitter is operating optimally. AUI functionality includes:

IP Audio I/O: An Industry First

IP or Ethernet audio transport is becoming the industry norm for connecting studio equipment. Transmitters too can benefit from the move to IP. With the VS Series, Nautel becomes the first manufacturer to offer an IP audio input in addition to AES and traditional mono and composite inputs. The VS

Series transmitters are also the first to support the Axia Livewire protocol. Now broadcasters can connect their Livewire networks directly to a VS Series transmitter with a single RJ-45 and achieve a high reliability, high performance, all-digital transmission path from studio to transmitter with no intermediary connections or D/A conversions. Furthermore the VS Series supports streaming services such as SHOUTcast TM and RTP.

Combine this with Nautel's Advanced User Interface and the audio processing feature set is expanded even further. By putting audio processing inside a transmitter with full remote control access (AUI) you gain full control of all audio processing functions from any computer that is connected to the internet, no matter where you are.

The optional DSP card incorporates many features of Orban's Optimod 5500 Series digital, five band processor with dual band window gated AGC and the latest Dual Core SDP technology.

The integrated Optimod processor accommodates analog L+R, AES/EBU. LiveWire, ShoutCast and USB player inputs.
